Getting Ready
A step-by-step guide to preparing for your GELPS test.
1. Choose Your Space
Pick a quiet, private room where you can close the door and won’t be interrupted. Use a simple background — a blank wall works well. Avoid shadows and backlighting.
2. Check Your Equipment
Computer
Desktop or laptop with reliable internet connection. GELPS cannot be taken on a phone or tablet.
Camera & Microphone
A working front-facing camera and microphone are required for the entire test.
System Check
Run our system check tool 1–2 days before your test to confirm everything works.
Room Scan: Before the test, you will use your phone to show your entire testing space — desk, walls, and surrounding area.
3. Gather Your ID
You need a valid, government-issued photo ID.
Passport
Accepted for all test-takers worldwide.
Driver’s License
Accepted in many countries.
National ID
Government-issued national ID cards are accepted.
4. Review the Rules
- You must be alone in the room for the entire test.
- No headphones, earbuds, or audio devices are permitted.
- Keep your face, ears, and hands visible to the camera at all times.
- No outside reference materials, notes, or other devices.
- Do not read questions or prompts aloud.
- Your environment will be scanned before the test begins.
